When to monitor SA HRV?

Standard measurement

We refer measurements performed once a day as "standard" (ideally in the morning in rest). If possible, always under the same conditions in accordance with the rules below. The measurements performed in this way are best comparable with each other and serve to create an "individual spectral profile". Based on the standard measurement, the "myCompensation" calculations and the setting of the "Individual display" on the myHRV graph take place. The inclusion of a measurement that does not meet the conditions below among "Standard measurements" may invalidate the "individual spectral profile". The parameters derived from it can then provide distorted information.

Conditions of "Standard measurement":

 - Ideally - in the morning after waking up

- Start the measurement only in the supine position

- Carefully follow the measurement procedure (see manual) and change positions continuously and slowly

If the measurement cannot be performed in the morning, then at a different (optimally always the same) time of day, meeting the basic criteria:

- No significant physical activity has taken place on that day
- You are in relative mental peace, in a quiet environment allowing the necessary time to lie down and stand
- Not earlier than 3 hours after the last meal or last coffee, etc.

Non-standard measurements

In principle, the mySASY system allows you to perform measurements (always at rest according to the above procedure LAY - STAND - LAY), at any time of day, in any situation. If you will perform these measurements, it is always necessary to mark them as "Non-standard" (The first measurement of the day is automatically referred as "Standard". Each additional measurement is marked as non-standard).

You can use the possibility to measure several times a day, for example, to monitor the immediate effect of the load during the measurement immediately after training, or in other experimental situations.

However, the mySASY system is designed primarily for the evaluation and analysis of repeated "Standard measurements", which provide the best information for effective use in training.
